Prepare for Your Forest Therapy Walk

Sitting with the Sky invites you on quiet journey of meeting and noticing. Along the way, we'll be greeted by trees of many kinds, each with its own shape, texture and way of reaching for light. Spend time with these beings, and perhaps notice how they lean, breathe or hold space around them. Our steps will eventually lead us to an open space, where the sky stretches wide above us. Here, you're invited to rest your gaze upon the sky, dressed in the day's hues.

Duration
Each forest therapy walk lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group and the pace that feels right for the day. There's no need to rush. We'll move gently with the rhythm of nature and return to the meeting point as the light softens toward evening by 7pm.
What to Wear and Bring
• Wear what helps you feel comfortable and at ease in nature's presence. Light, breathable clothing and comfortable walking footwear are recommended.
• Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Refills are available at water coolers, and there's also a vending machine if needed.
• Sun and insect protection as you need (e.g. hat, sunscreen, insect repellent). You may notice stingless bees in some areas. They are gentle and harmless, and can be appreciated up close as they go about what they're doing.
• A small sit mat or yoga mat, depending on whether you prefer to sit or lie down during moments of rest and reflection.
• Along the way, there will be places where you can set down your bag and personal belongings.
What to Expect
This is not a hike or a tour, but a gentle, guided experience. Through simple invitations, you'll be supported to slow down, notice with all your senses, and rest into the present moment. There will be space for quiet reflection, optional sharing and a simple closing at the end of our walk.
Accessibility and Mobility
The walk will take place along well-paved park paths and gentle grass slopes. The pace will be gentle with frequent pauses to rest and notice. If you have any mobility, sensory or health consideration, feel free to let me know so I can attune the experience to your needs.
Weather
We walk in light rain; it can add a beautiful texture to the experience. In the event of heavy rain, lightning or haze concerns, you'll receive a text/email update at least 2 hours before the start. If it starts to rain midway, a shelter will always be nearby, within a short 2-5 minute walk.
