1. Parties and Scope
These terms apply between Ohmori (UEN 53510961W, 60 Paya Lebar Road #06-28, Paya Lebar Square, Singapore 409501) and each participant in a Forest Therapy session. In this Media Release, "Ohmori" includes its guides, employees, contractors, and volunteers acting on its behalf; "the participant" means the person taking part in a Forest Therapy session by Ohmori; "session" means any Forest Therapy walk, workshop, or related activity offered by Ohmori; and "images" means photographs, videos, including any sound recorded as part of a video.
Ohmori does not make audio recordings of participants. This Media Release is about images in which a participant can be identified. Photographs of nature itself are not covered.
2. Your Consent
2.1 It is optional
Ohmori will only photograph or film a participant who has agreed to it. Declining will not affect your session, your booking, or how you are treated in any way. You do not need to give a reason.
2.2 How we ask
You will be asked when you book, and Section 4 sets out exactly where images may be used.
2.3 You can change your mind at any time
You may withdraw your consent before, during, or after a session, including years later. Section 6 explains what happens when you do.
2.4 Telling us in the moment
If you agreed in advance but would rather not be photographed on the day, or at a particular moment, just say so, or signal to the guide. No explanation is needed.
2.5 If we ever want to use existing images in a way this Media Release does not cover, we will ask you again first.
3. What We Photograph, and What We Do Not
3.1 Ohmori photographs and films sessions to show what the practice looks like, including the setting, the pace, and the experience of a session.
3.2 Ohmori will not photograph or flim:
- Any participant who has not agreed, or who has asked us to stop (Section 5.1 explains the one thing we cannot always prevent - someone appearing in the background);
- Any moment where a participant appears distressed, upset, or unwell;
- Any conversation, sharing circle, or exchange in which a participant is speaking about themselves, unless every participant has specifically agreed to that recording;
If something like this is captured by accident, or only becomes apparent when we look at the images later, we will not use it and we will delete the file. Ohmori will never caption, describe, tag, or name any participant's health, condition, or personal circumstances.
3.3 Respectful selection
Ohmori will take reasonable care to select and publish only images that show participants in a respectful and dignified way. If you feel an image of you does not, tell us and we will remove it.
4. How Images May Be Used
4.1 Where you have consented, Ohmori may use images in:
- Its website and social media accounts;
- Printed materials such as flyers, cards, and books;
- Videos about Ohmori's practices; and
- Articles or features, where an image is provided to a news agency or publication.
4.2 Media and press
Where an image is provided to a news agency or publication, Ohmori cannot control how that organisation later uses or archives it, and cannot guarantee its removal. Ohmori will tell you before providing an identifiable image of you to any news organisation, and will not do so without your agreement at that time.
4.3 What Ohmori will not do
Ohmori will not:
- Sell your images, or license them to stock photography libraries;
- Allow them to be used to advertise another business;
- Use them to train artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, or provide them to anyone else for that purpose;
- Use them in any way that suggests you endorse a product or service; or
- Present you as a case study, or use your image in a way that suggests a health, clinical, or therapeutic outcome.
4.4 One thing we cannot control
Anything published on a social media platform is also governed by that platform's own terms. Some platforms use public posts, including photographs to train their own artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, and we have no way to switch that off. We would rather tell you than have you find out later. If you would prefer your image stayed off social media, just say so - we will use it only on our own website and in printed materials, or not at all.
4.5 Names and words
Ohmori will not publish your name alongside an image unless you have separately agreed to that. If you send us something kind and we would like to quote it, we will ask you first, and we will only use the initial or first name you tell us to use.
4.6 No payment
Images are used without payment to you, and you are not entitled to any fee, royalty, or compensation for their use. You keep no ownership claim over Ohmori's images, and Ohmori claims none over yours.
5. Group Sessions and Other Participants
5.1 being in the background
Sessions happen in groups, in public places. Despite our care, someone who has declined may occasionally appear in the background of an image. Where we notice it, or where you tell us, we will not publish that image, or will crop or obscure the person before any use. If you ever spot yourself in something we have already published, tell us and we will take it down.
5.2 Photographs taken by participants
Participants often want their own photographs of a session. Please ask before photographing or filming another participant, and respect the answer. Ohmori cannot control what participants do with their own images and is not responsible for them.
5.3 Public places
Sessions take place in public parks and places, where other members of the public may take photographs. This is outside of Ohmori's control.
6. Withdrawing Your Consent
6.1 How
Email hello@ohmori.sg at any time. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to identify the specific image - a description of the session is enough.
6.2 What we will do
Ohmori will stop using the image, and will remove it wherever it is reasonably able to do so - including from its own website, social media accounts, and any material still in preparation. We will confirm to you when this is done.
6.3 What we cannot undo
Ohmori cannot recall printed material that has already been distributed, retrieve copies that others have downloaded or reshared, or require a news organisation to remove something already published. Where this is the case, we will tell you plainly.
7. Participants Under 18
Sessions are open to participants aged 18 and above. A participant under 18 may attend only where a parent or legal guardian makes the booking, agrees to these terms, and stays with them for the whole session (See Section 7 of the Liability Release). Ohmori does not publish identifiable images of anyone under 18 - not on our website, not on social media, not in printed materials or videos, and not to a news organisation. If a young person does not want to be photographed at all, we will not photograph them, whatever the accompanying adult has said. The accompanying adult is a participant too, and decides about their own images in their own right.
8. Your Personal Data
An image that identifies you is personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
8.1 Ohmori keeps images securely and limits access to those who need it to produce Ohmori's materials.
8.2 Some of the services we use to store and publish images are based outside Singapore. We only use providers that are required to protect your data to a standard comparable to Singapore law.
8.3 You may ask what images of you Ohmori holds and how they have been used, or withdraw your consent under Section 6.
8.4 Section 8 of the Liability Release sets out how Ohmori handles your booking and contact details. This Media Release governs images.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the substantive law of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
10. Severability
If any clause or part of a clause in this Media Release is found to be void or unenforceable, that clause or part shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

For anything about photography, images, or this Media Release, including to withdraw consent, email hello@ohmori.sg. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your images or your data, tell us first - and if we cannot put it right, you can also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission. Being photographed is optional, and nothing in this Media Release takes away any right you have that cannot be given up under Singapore law.
