What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is an invitation to slow down and experience nature through the senses. Guided experiences create opportunities to become more present, notice what is happening around us and deepen our relationship with the natural world. The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) approach places relationship at the centre of the practice. A helpful ANFT principle is: The Forest is the Therapist. The Guide Opens the Doos.

What is a Soundwalk?
A Soundwalk is an invitation to experience a place through listening. By moving slowly and paying attention to the sounds around us, familiar or unfamiliar places can be experienced in a different way. The purpose is not to identify every sound. The invitation is to listen.

Why is the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) and Quiet Parks International (QPI) working together?
Forest Bathing and Soundwalks are different practices, but both invite people to slow down, pay attention and deepen their relationship with place and the living world. The International Forest Bathing & Soundwalk Weekend brings these experiences together through local walks taking place around the world.

It is completely alright to feel unsure.

Forest Therapy is a gentle sensory practice in nature. Not a hike and not something to be good at. No experience is needed, and there is no right way to do it.

Through simple invitations, you are guided to slow down and notice. How you take part is yours. Speak or stay quiet. Walk slowly or simply sit. Arrive as you are, and let nature meet you as you are. Come home to nature, body and self.

If you are unsure whether Forest Therapy is for you
